The story that our teacher showed was very sad because of what the dad and the mother had to do to there only daughter. They had to kill there daughter just to feed there king that arrived o there island and asked for food. But the thing was the island they were standing on couldn't produce anything like food or drinks, so for food they sacrificed there only daughter just to feed the king but he didn't eat it and the king said that he respects them for it.

For me i think that this is very sad and depressing and it wasn't the right decision. They could have explain to the king and his men that they could not make food for them because this island could not produce any food or water. I also think that he could ave just gone to fish in the sea to make things not as bad as they ended up.

 Today our teacher Mrs Tele'a told us a story of Maui and how Tonga got it's name.The Tongan islands were named after a man who sold and gave away hooks. His name was Tongataumata'u, he also gave Maui his hook."what can i give you" said Maui, Tongataumata'u thought and finally gave an answer "when you fish and island make sure to name that island after me". so as he promissed he got and island and named it after him and thats how Tonga got it's name.

 Last week the year eights went on a camp and some year eights stayed. I was one of the year eights that stayed I stayed with the year seven and they did these different types of activities the year eights that stayed had to help be cause we already done the activities last year. But we had to participate in some the activities it was pretty boring activities we had to do three different rotation cause there was only three groups.The groups were duck life, thunder, strikers i was in the group called duck life on friday the last day we had a before the shared lunch the teacher told us the score. and the result were strikers came last my group duck life cam second and then thunder came 1st they were the winners for the whole program.

Has your house ever been stalked? Well, today I am telling you how my house was robbed. Once upon a time I was playing games in my room and all I hear is this loud bang on my front door so then I go and check and all I see is a tall hairy man just standing on my doorstep. 

Every day at night I would always hear someone walking around my house but one of my friends slept at my house cause we had a rugby game the next day I and my friends were sleeping in the lounge and when It gets darker my friends would always spot a tall hairy man standing near my window staring at us. So then my and I had a plan to catch this man since my family wouldn't believe it so we put different types of traps around the house.  

One beautiful day we heard one of our traps and we caught the stalker he was wearing a costume so we took off the costume and it was my best friend trying to prank me ever since that day I never trust my friends.

I had to use this picture to make my own narrative story I found this task hard cause i had to think about all the solution and all the good things that will happen

Black live matter

Today there is this problem going around and it racism people making fun of people because of their skin colour. On May 25, 2020 a man in america died because the police decided to be racist and kill just because his skin colour every human is the same just because they have different skin colour doesn't mean we are different. 

So people got angry and made up a protest about black lives matter but then it turned into a riot it was a disaster . People used black lives matter as an excuse to break in stores and steal things that are not theirs. It was not even a protest. They were breaking things and burning things, that is what you call a riot.

Idea to go and visit China.He stayed at a city in china called Wuhan When he was 

watching the news , he discovered a virus Called coronavirus which was spreading.

 Travis Scott was very scared and nervous about staying in that city the news i could only if 

You're not cleaning yourself.hen Travis Scott heard you have to clean yourself he started to wash
himself twice a day.

He tried to go home but the airport was blocked off so then he sneaked into an airplane which
was going to his home all the way in america.When he got to america Travis Scott went to visit
his Mum in the hospital but when walked past the doctors they had this weird vibe so then tested him
and he was first case for covid-19.When Travis Scott family’s and friends heard on the news They
started getting worried but there was one way to solve it Travis Scott’s brother Marcus told him to drink

some corona and Travis Scott got better and better and Travis Scott got out of hospital safe and sound.

Te whare Tapa Wha is what us team5 is going to be learning about for this term.

WHY YOU SHOULD FOLLOW THE RULES

I am going to explain things about important trampoline safety. It is important because you can hurt yourself and get in very bad injuries. Having safety rules is good for us so you can keep each other safe, for example, you can break the trampoline or you can hit a little kid while they are jumping.

first idea; Rules are always on a wall like a poster having too many people on the trampoline can break it. You always have to take notice of the rules cause it is the important cause if you don’t follow the rules you might get badly hurt.

Second idea; Everyone should obey the rules cause some people don’t and they end up in a bad position. You should always stay safe and keep each other safe some people end up in the hospital cause they don’t follow the rules.

Reading the rules is very important. For example, you use a very sharp tool and then you didn’t read the rules and you accidentally chopped your finger off. Some people should never disobey any kind of rules so you keep each other and your self safe.

Malo e lelei this year I am looking forward to try and  be a good leader.I got six
siblings all of us came to the same primary school I was born on 2007.I am the
second youngest in my family my favourite hobby is play different kind of sports.


when i'm in school my favourite subject is reading but this year I will be more focused on
writing.my goal is trying to get out trouble and to stop dragging my year 7 friends
into trouble.I came to this school ever since new entrance also I live in the heart of glen
inns I grew up playing rugby union.

what I don't like sometimes I don't like working alot and then I stresse then I stop.
I forgot to tell u i'm tongan and I grew up with alot of fighting in my house we always
try stop and we fight again.

Paul Jennings

This year I am a year8 and I am in Mrs Tele'a literacy class. i'm in the Paul Jennings
group Paul Jennings is a Australian author but he was born in the United Kingdom and
when he was six years old he left and he stayed in Australia.He wrote a book called undone
he is about seventy-seven years old right now his birthday is on 30th April.


Paul Jennings He graduated with a Bachelor of Education Studies from Frankston 
Teachers College at  Monash University in 1978.In 1989 Jennings wrote his first
book of short stories it was called unreal! he published it during he worked as a
teacher.Few days later he started to focus full time on writing different kind of
stories and books. Jennings got married when he was twenty-two he has six children
on the 2000 he was awarded a Dromkeen Medal.
